Perry-Lecompton Kaws Track and Field Head to State

On Thursday, May 18th, and Friday, May 19th, the Perry-Lecompton Kaws competed at the 3A Regionals that were hosted by Silver Lake.
 
In the girls division, the Kaws took 3rd place (68) with other teams in competition such as Nemaha Central (1st-134), St Marys (2nd-74), Silver Lake (4th-50), Hiawatha (5th-44), Sabetha (6th-36), Rossville (7th-34), Council Grove (7th-34), Mission Valley (9th-22), ACCHS (10th-14), Oskaloosa (11th-12), Maur Hill/Mt Academy (11th-12), Royal Valley, Riverside, Pleasant Ridge, and Horton.
 
For the Kaws, state qualifiers included: (4) 3200 Blaise Ball 13:15, (1) 100 m Cali Coleman 12.94, (3) 800 m Lexia Jamison 2:25.74, (2) 200 m Cali Coleman 27.3, (3) 4x400 (Jenna Keller, Jolie Hirsch, Rylee Paramore, Cali Coleman) 4:18.49, (1) High Jump Talisa Stone 5-5, (2) Long Jump Cali Coleman 16-3, and (2) Triple Jump Abbi Folks 35-2.5.  Other results included: (5) 4x800  (Lexia Jamison, Jenna Keller, Jolie Hirsch, Rylee Paramore) 10:23.31, (5) 300m Hurdles Rylee Paramore 52.4, (5) Discus Harleigh Robertson 118-1 and (9) Mykiah McDaniel 99-4, (9) Javelin Morgen Coyle 101-7, and (5) Triple Jump Haley Kellum 33-.5. 
 
In the boys division, the Kaws took 3rd place (68.5) with other teams in competition such as Nemaha Central (1st-91), Sabetha (2nd-82.5), Silver Lake (4th-66), Council Grove (5th-56), Royal Valley (6th-42), Pleasant Ridge (7th-37), Riverside (8th-34), Mission Valley (9th-24), Hiawatha (10th-18), St Marys (11th-14), Maur Hill (12th-11), Oskaloosa (13th-9), Rossville (14th-3), ACCHS (15th-2) and Horton.
 
For the Kaws, state qualifiers included: (2) 110 m Hurdles Torin VanNest 15.8, (2) 4x800 (Ty Packard, Canaan Daniels, Jessye Schumann, Joshua LeClair) 8:46.82, (4) 1600 Ty Packard 4:52.25, (2) 4x100 (Cole Kellum, Colton Mallonee, Shane Quinlan, Dalton Kellum) 44.24, (2) 400 m Shane Quinlan 51.97 and (4) Joshua LeClair 53.23, (3) 800 m Ty Packard 2:05.33, (2) 200 m Shane Quinlan 22.93, and (1) 4x400 (Cole Kellum, Dalton Kellum, Colton Mallonee, Shane Quinlan) 3:27.99.  Others in competition were: (12) 100 m Landon Johnson (11.99), (6) 300 m Hurdles Torin VanNest 42.57, (9) 800 m Calvin McPherson 2:15 and (12) Canaan Daniels 2:18.28, (6) 200 m Dalton Kellum 23.23 and (11) Cole Kellum 23.59, (6) Discus TJ Turpin 129-10, (7) Long Jump Colton Mallonee 18-7.75, (10) Javelin Ty Packard 128-2, (5) Triple Jump Colton Mallonee 40-9.5 and (8) Michael Kellum 39-11.5, (8) Pole Vault Kade Surface 10-6 AND (10) Ike Dwyer 10-6.
 
The Kaws will be in competition at the Kansas State Track and Field meet on Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th.
