Homecoming Royalty 2017

September 20, 2017

Perry-Lecompton High School Homecoming took place on Friday, September 15th.  The week began with Spirit Week, sponsored by the PLHS Student Council.  Manic Monday, Teacher Twin Tuesday, Wild Adventure Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Fight the Tigers Friday.  The Skills USA Club organized the parade that began at PLHS and ended with a pep rally held in front of First State Bank. There were many outstanding floats and a large crowd of Kaw fans at the pep rally.

The announcement of the King and Queen took place during halftime of the PLHS vs ACCHS football game, where the Kaws lead 46-0.  King and Queen Candidates were Toby Baker, Tyler Erickson, Joel Guess, Megan Fast, Cara Coleman and Lyndee Kelley.  The 2016 King Tristan Damme and Queen Abbi Folks along with junior attendants Graci Folks, Sam Kuenzi, Jolie Hirsch, Spencer Funk plus Lydia Moland and Mason Meyer crowned the 2017 PLHS Homecoming King Joel Guess and Queen Megan Fast.

The Kaws were victorious with a final score of 59-14, and the 2017 Homecoming concluded with a dance held in the PLHS Commons area. The dance was very well attended as students enjoyed themselves after the long and busy week.  Pictures from the dance will be printed and provided by the PLHS student council.   We would like to thank all the parents, students, and staff members who made the 2017 Homecoming a fun and memorable event!
